About Almighty Calculator

I'm Austin. I'm an ISA Certified Arborist with 22 years in tree care, and I run a woodworking shop with a CNC in rural Minnesota. I built this site because I kept reaching for calculators that were buried in ads, half-wrong, or missing the way work really gets done in the field and the shop.

Every calculator here shows its formula, a worked example with real numbers, and the assumptions behind it. Where the answer depends on a published table or standard, I name the source. Where I couldn't find a reliable published value, I left that feature out. A few pages say plainly that a number comes from a summary of a standard, not the standard itself; check those against the code book your jurisdiction uses.

The wood, tree, and rural calculators come straight from my own work: scaling logs, figuring firewood, planning for wood movement, and rigging. The electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fabrication tools are built the same way, with formulas checked against published references and tested against known values.

Results are estimates for planning. For anything safety-related, check the applicable code, manufacturer specifications, or a qualified professional. See the terms of use.
